2022.01.16 19:47 kujanator Java processes randomly stop after a few hours

I have some java process that I run on start up (nohup calling a shell script to run them) and they log to a file using log4j. They're both pretty simple apps (one incredibly simple) but they just randomly stop running after a couple of hours. Both apps won't stop at the same time but they do both eventually stop. They no longer log anything, and I can't see them in ps -aux | grep java. As soon as I reboot they start running again until suddenly they stop.
For example, one thing I'm running is literally this:
private final static String URL = "myurl"; private static final Logger logger = LogManager.getLogger(Main.class);

public static void main(String[] args) throws InterruptedException, UnirestException { logger.info("Starting up..."); while (true) { if (now().getHour() > 7 && now().getHour() < 23) { HttpResponse jsonNodeHttpResponse = Unirest.get(URL).asJson(); logger.info("Response: " + jsonNodeHttpResponse.getStatus()); } Thread.sleep(900000); } }

2022.01.16 19:47 wuanlai65 Brand New Shiryo - Inu - DAPP based game & NFT’s in development! - Liquidity Lock - Launching Now on BSC

Welcome to Shiryo - Inu

Shiryo - Inu Shiryo - Inu Launching Now on BSC and it seems that play to earn game tokens are still one of the best niches to buy in DeFi! The roadmap details a fully functional trading card based game which will allow for the earning of the native token through different incentives including weekly competitions!
Contract Address: 0xc51519CfF4BBB619DFD22e62ea6eEcda1d274bE8
The team recently released concepts for the trading cards on their Telegram group and their design team has done an amazing job, this is a gem in the making and it is still incredibly early if you get in now. Having only been life for less than 24 hours the token is sitting at just above a $1M market cap which is incredibly low for a play to earn game, the team is really active on Telegram and the holders seem to be diamond handed after seeing the potential in this project!
Everything about this project has been super clean so far, the chart looks good and the website and concepts released so far have been on point.
The whitepaper is to be released today alongside more mockups of the concept for the game, the marketing has been on point with calls from all the biggest names on Telegram and Twitter. The developer even just hired a social media specific marketing agency to help get even more eyes on the project, Shiryo-Inu is about to become synonymous with the likes of Floki and Mononoke - Inu, don’t sleep on this one!

2022.01.16 19:47 popcodswallop [WTS] VINTAGE • Ladies in Mist and Black Lace meet Gentlemen in Silver Ray and Herringbone – 1930s Art Deco (Semiflex–Wet Noodle): (3) Waterman Ink-Vue | Conklin Nozac | Gold Bond | Parkston •

This week's vintage batch features FPs exemplifying the Art Deco charms of the 1930s with special focus on pens with transparent barrels such as the Waterman Ink-Vue and Conklin Nozac. Nibs range from Semiflex to Wet Noodle, with one Factory Oblique in the mix. As always, all are fully restored and ready to write.

ALBUM & TIMESTAMP

Pastable link: https://imgur.com/a/hbHZsyk

Condition (n.b.): All pens listed below have been disassembled, cleaned and restored with new sacs and seals installed in the last couple weeks. Note on Ink-Vues: Restoring a Waterman Ink-Vue pen the right way is quite a chore and requires patience and experience with seized parts and fragile materials – something I've learned the hard way over the course of repairing a bunch of them. All the Ink-Vues below (#1-#3) received new sacs and rubber washers. And their sections were sealed with Ron Zorn's rosin based sealant after their barrel interiors were polished to maximize clarity. Each fills to factory capacity, holding a lot of ink with no leaks. All the pens below are guaranteed to fill and write as designed without leaks or other problems. Nibs have been adjusted when necessary to ensure that all lay down a smooth and consistent line.
THESE PENS HAVE NO CRACKS (except #1), CHIPS, PERSONALIZATIONS, LOOSE OR MISSING PARTS, BENT NIBS, MISALIGNED TINES, BROKEN/WORN OFF TIPPING, OR THREADING ISSUES.

Line Widths and Writing Samples: To provide buyers with as much information as possible, I have started to adopt the following line width standards: XXF (.1-.2mm); XF (approx .3mm); F (approx .4mm); M (approx .6mm); B (approx .8mm). Nib flexibility is determined by variation (max line width under pressure) and softness (amount of pressure). Flexibility designations based on variation generally run as follows for an XF/F nib: Semi-Flex (approx. 1mm); Flex (1.2-1.9mm); Superflex (>2mm). All line width measurements are taken with a digital caliper but should be considered approximations providing a general guide. Width may vary slightly depending on type of ink and paper used as well as amount of pressure applied. All writing samples are on Rhodia dot paper using Waterman Serenity Blue.

1. 1930s Waterman Lady Patricia Ink-Vue (Mist - grey marble, celluloid, NPT, Ink-Vue filler, 14k XF/F Factory Oblique Superflex nib). This Canadian model measures 4 1/4" capped and 5 1/2" posted. The Ink-Vue was Waterman's response to popular vacuum filling FPs from other Big Four Makers of the 30s, pens such as Parker's Vacumatic, Sheaffer's Balance, Eversharp's 2nd-gen Doric, and Conklin's Nozac. Like these pens, the Ink-Vue stores ink directly in a partly transparent barrel, making it not only more capacious (than a lever-filler) but more user-friendly as it enables one to see how much ink remains. Like the Vacumatic, Waterman Ink-Vues use a latex sac not to hold the ink, but to create a vacuum to fill the barrel when the lever is operated. It's essentially a combination of a lever- and bulb-filler. Just unlock the two-piece ("Double Action") lever, depress the back part upward against the barrel 4-5 times until the pen is full (see VIDEO). (Note: this video is from someone else – for purposes of illustration only). Because it featured their innovative filling system and was priced near the top of their model lineup, Waterman spared no expense in the exquisite design details of their Ink-Vues. In my opinion, the Lady Patricia model is in a class of its own from a design standpoint. Not only is the filling system a lot of fun to use, its fine details epitomize 30s Art Deco style. To wit, the elegant harlequin motif, which is repeated on the clip, the cap band, the translucent section of the barrel, and the lever. 14k Ideal #2 nib is a Super-Flexible left foot Factory Oblique nib (tipping slants like the toes of a left foot when viewed from above). Under normal pressure, it lays down a smooth and consistent XF line on the down-strokes and F/M line on the cross-strokes. Under light pressure, the line widens to a 4B+(approx 2.2mm) (see WRITING SAMPLE). The combination of specialty grind and softness makes it an interesting, versatile nib that's well suited to adding style to everyday writing as it is for calligraphic writing styles such as Copperplate and Spencerian, when the grind keeps one's letterforms neat and straight. Condition: fair [D]. This pen would grade as excellent were it not for 3-4 tight hairline cracks in the cap lip that extend no farther than the bottom of the cap band (DETAIL PHOTO). As long as one doesn't post the cap too firmly, I wouldn't expect them to worsen – factored into the price all the same. Nickel-plating is notoriously more delicate than is gold-plating and the 3D geometry of the trim protrude, making it especially susceptible to wear. The plating on this pen is in better shape than most, with only a sliver of high-point brassing around the center of the cap band (hard to see since the underlying metal is nearly the same color as the plating). No brassing to the clip, captop, or lever. Cap band can be spun with a finger but rests securely in its groove. Celluloid has a smooth, lustrous finish with no deep scratches or other notable flaws. Manufacturer imprint on the blind cap is deep and fully legible. Decent transparency with ink level visible when pen is held to light (DETAIL PHOTO). Price: $170

2. 1930s Waterman Lady Patricia Ink-Vue (Black Lace, celluloid, NPT, Ink-Vue filler, 14k XF Flex/Superflex nib). Measures 4 1/4" capped and 5 1/2" posted. For more on Waterman's Ink-Vue, including filling instructions, see description of pen #1 above. Another Ink-Vue Lady Pat, this one in the seductively dubbed "Black Lace" color pattern. Art Deco harlequin motif is repeated on the clip, the cap band, the translucent section of the barrel, and the lever. 14k Ideal #2 nib yields Super-Flexible variation with Flexible softness. It lays down a smooth and consistent XF line that widens to a 4B+ (approx 2.2mm) under moderate pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE). Responsive snap-back, thin hairlines, and reliable flow over its full range of flex make it a great choice for expressive and calligraphic writing styles. Condition: excellent [B]. Nickel-plated trim shows no notable wear aside from the typical sliver of brassing around the centeapex of the cap band. Cap band can be spun with a finger but rests securely in its groove. Celluloid has a smooth, lustrous finish with no deep blemishes or notable flaws aside from some short scratches beside the lever box. Manufacturer imprint on the blind cap is deep and fully legible. Transparency is superb with near mint clarity and color (DETAIL PHOTO). Price: $210

3. 1930s Waterman Ink-Vue (Silver-Ray, celluloid, NPT, Ink-Vue filler, 14k XXF Flex Brown Keyhole nib). Measures 5 3/16" capped. For more on Waterman's Ink-Vue, including filling instructions, see description of pen #1 above. The high Art Deco style of the Lady Pat Ink-Vue is matched by that of this full-sized variant: from the stepped captop (DETAIL PHOTO and waterfall clip with repeated motif on the cap band and lever, to the double trim rings and the beautiful "Ray" celluloid pattern. For a brief spell, Ink-Vues were equipped with Waterman's color-coded keyhole nibs (each color signified a nib-type). The nib in this pen is stamped "BROWN," which catalogues identify as "Fine Flex." As with variations in softness among nibs a given color, it seems there were also some variations in actual width. While this nib is indeed Flexible by the standards set forth above, it's unflexed width is actually very, very fine. It lays down a smooth and consistent XXF line that widens to a 3B+ (approx 1.6mm) under moderate pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE). Responsive snap-back, needlepoint hairlines, and reliable flow over its full range of flex make it a great choice for expressive writing styles. Condition: excellent- [B-] but for one non-factory part [D]. From the factory the full-sized Ink-Vue came with a medallion stamped with Waterman's Globe emblem affixed to the barrel-end. Unfortunately, these weren't secured well and 2/3 of pens I've encountered are missing their medallions. Accurate reproduction medallions were once available online for about $20 and can still be had at pen shows (originals from parts pens crop up on eBay now and then as well). This pen came to me without a medallion. As a replacement I've harvested the barrel-end of a sterling silver parts pen. Although it's plain, lacking the Globe stamp, it's a perfect fit and gives the pen a finished, factory appearance (see imprints photo). Nickel-plated trim is clean aside from some short scratches at the top of the clip and some thinning of the plating in spots on the cap band, lever box, and lever spade (visible as a dulling of original luster). Cap band can be spun with a finger but rests securely in its groove. Celluloid has a smooth, lustrous surface with no deep scratches or other noteworthy flaws. Manufacturer imprint on the blind cap is deep and fully legible. Barrel transparency is excellent with ink level clearly visible when pen is held to light (see DETAIL PHOTO). Price: $320

4. 1930s Conklin Nozac V-Line (Grey Herringbone, celluloid, NPT, piston filler, 14k XF Semi-Flex nib). This standard-sized model measures 5 1/4" capped. The piston-filling Nozac was Conklin's flagship model of the 1930s and the V-Line/Herringbone variants at the top of the Nozac lineup remain some of the most desirable Conklins today. This pen has a faceted barrel and cap with transparent barrel striations for viewing the ink level. It's made of celluloid in the grey herringbone pattern complemented by white metal trim (rhodium-plated?). Patented rocker-clip lifts at the bottom when the top is depressed. This pen is filled by rotating the knob at the barrel-end counter-clockwise until the piston is fully extended, submersing the nib, then rotating the knob clockwise. 14k Conklin Cushion Point nib exhibits a crescent motif that hearkens back to the Crescent-Filler – the pen that put Conklin on the map. It may be a little too generous to call it Semi-Flexible but its definitely not a nail – has a nice, springy softness that provides for a smooth writing experience with a touch of variation. It lays down a smooth and consistent XF line (perhaps F with some inks) that widens to a B+ (approx 1mm) under moderate pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE). Condition: excellent [B]. Restored with new o-rings from David Nishimura. Piston operates smoothly and fills the pen to factory capacity. White metal trim is clean aside from a couple small spots of wear on the sides of the bottom tip of the clip and microscratches on the cap band. Celluloid has a smooth, lustrous finish with no deep blemishes or notable flaws aside from several short scratches just below the cap band visible under a loupe. Manufacturer imprint on the barrel is deep and fully legible. Good transparency with ink level fully visible when pen is held to light (DETAIL PHOTO). A vintage icon that rarely comes up for sale. Price: $410

5. 1930s Gold Bond (green marble, celluloid, GPT, lever filler, 14k XF Flex/Superflex nib). Measures a hair under 5" capped. This pen was made by the National Pen Products Co. of Chicago, a massive conglomerate known for Gold Medal and Lincoln pens as well as its collaborations with Parker, Wahl-Eversharp, and Waterman in producing re-branded Vacumatics, Dorics, No. 7s, etc. for large retail chains such as Montgomery Ward and Sears & Roebuck. This is a later model with charming Art Deco details. Judging by the deluxe trim configuration and large 14k nib, it was near top of Gold Bond's model lineup. It's made of green marble celluloid complemented by gold-plated trim that includes an unusual and unusually elegant spade clip and two sets of cap rings. More unusual still, the bottom of the section is doubly flared (all one piece) – a design I believe to be exclusive to Gold Bond 14k Gold Bond nib yeilds Super-Flexible variation with Flexible softness. It lays down a smooth and consistent XF line that widens to a 4B+ (approx 2.0mm) under moderate pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE – note change in description of nib softness). Condition: excellent/near mint [B+]. Gold-plated trim is virtually pristine with no brassing or other notable wear. Celluloid has a smooth, lustrous finish with no deep blemishes or notable flaws. Manufacturer imprint on the barrel is deep and fully legible. Price: $200

6. 1930s Parkston (Blue & Bronze, celluloid, GPT, lever filler, 14k Superflex nib). Measures 4 11/16" capped and5 1/2" posted. It is speculated that Parkston was a sub-brand of New York City's Eclipse fountain pen company, but the connection has not been firmly established, to my knowledge. This streamlined model is made of the same celluloid used for the Patrician: a color pattern Waterman called Turquoise. It consists of a lapis white-on-blue background overlaid by pearlescent bronze chips. Replacement, early Century Pen 14k nib is a Wet Noodle with dip-pen-like variation, flow, and softness. It lays down a smooth, consistent, and wet XF/F line that widens to an impressive 4B+ (approx 2.5mm) under minimal pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE – please forgive the mistaken "unbranded" designation; I had only the barrel in hand and forgot about the Parkston stamp on the clip!). Iridium is worn but intact – still plenty of life in it yet. Feedback is a bit chalky from some angles but not scratchy. Responsive snap-back and reliable flow over its full range of flex make it a great choice for boldly expressive and calligraphic writing styles such as Copperplate and Spencerian. Condition: fine [C]. Gold-plated furniture is clean aside from some subtle thinning of the plating on the clip ball and in spots on the cap band. Celluloid surface is smooth and lustrous with no deep scratches or other significant blemishes – scarcely even any microscratches. No manufacturer imprint on barrel (never had one). A budget-option in a fetching color for those searching for a bona fide Wet Noodle. Price: $170
